Diverse artist representation has proven to be a characteristic of music festivals that drives festivalgoers to purchase tickets to see their favorite artists. Lollapalooza has more recently taken significant strides in the right direction – proving that the importance of diverse storytelling through the universal language of music is a paramount value for the festival.
Last year, Lollapalooza announced that BTS member, J-Hope, would headline the festival, making him the first South Korean artist to snag a headline spot at a major U.S. music festival. Additionally, Tomorrow x Together also made history as the first K-pop group to perform at the festival. Highlighting talents throughout diverse communities is absolutely vital in keeping the industry inclusive and accessible to all.
We took a look at the 2023 Lollapalooza lineup and gathered together 10 Asian artists that we’re excited are bringing representation to the stage this summer!
