Seven-member NCT subunit NCT DREAM has released their Japanese single, ‘Moonlight’, which contains two tracks—”Moonlight” and “Stupid Cupid. “‘Moonlight’ is the second Japanese single released by NCT Dream, and was released on June 5, 2024.
The lead track, “Moonlight,” is an upbeat dance-pop song. The instrumentals of “Moonlight” feature guitar and drums alongside the brilliant vocals of the group. In tune with the joyful sound of the music, the lyrics depict youth in a way that encourages listeners not to waste the shining, once-in-a-lifetime moment of today. Listeners are encouraged to forget their worries and regrets and live in the present. Further supporting this message is the music video released for “Moonlight.” The music video is bright like the song, showing the members in dream-like sequences reveling in their present youth.
Contrasting the cheerful sound of “Moonlight” is the second track of the single, a hip-hop song named “Stupid Cupid”. “Stupid Cupid” features a rhythmic track and a catchy chorus that illustrates feeling crazy in love.
