Before his highly-anticipated performances at festivals Lollapalooza and Head In The Clouds, DPR Ian released his single “Peanut Butter & Tears,” with a captivating music video he directed himself.
The music video shows the prequel story of DPR Ian’s alter ego “MITO,” who was previously introduced in his debut studio album and EP “Moodswings In To Order.” The scenes in the music video switch from him lying in a hospital chair to a younger version of himself, portraying the switch from youth to adulthood.
The music video is delivered in DPR Ian’s normal fashion- compelling with hidden meanings. The music video is very captivating, switching between brightly colored scenic locations and dark and eerie ones.
DPR Ian teased that this single is a prequel to his upcoming EP ‘Dear Insanity…’ which is set to release on October 6th. The EP follows MITO on his journey throughout his adventure into the realm known as “The Other Side,” where he slowly begins to lose his sanity which causes him to turn into “Mr. Insanity” at the height of the storyline in the EP.
