‘My Girl: “My Choice”‘ explores the theme of “reasons for existence” through a captivating love story, intertwined with the essence of “Conatus,” the core power of all beings. This concept promises a compelling narrative that resonates with modern individuals seeking to rediscover their true selves and navigate the complexities of existence.
About ‘My Girl: “My Choice”‘
The mini-album comprises seven tracks, including pre-release singles “Effortless” and “Angel.” The title track, “My Girl,” stands out as a disco-pop anthem that chronicles A.C.E’s journey of self-discovery and the pursuit of meaning. Written by Lee Donghun in collaboration with British singer-songwriter Etham, “My Girl” is a testament to the group’s artistic growth and introspective lyricism. Moreover, Rising producer Nickko Young, known for his work with esteemed acts such as Stray Kids, NiziU, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, produced the track.
In addition to “My Girl,” the mini-album features standout tracks such as “Facetime,” a self-penned song by WOW, which delves into the heartfelt emotions of a boy yearning to connect with his love interest. Furthermore, the English versions of “Effortless,” “My Girl,” and “Angel” cater to A.C.E’s global fanbase, showcasing their versatility and linguistic prowess.
However, it’s worth noting that A.C.E member Kang Yuchan was unable to participate in this comeback due to his ongoing military enlistment, though his presence is deeply missed by both the group and fans alike.
