ZEROBASEONE has made a spectacular debut with their first Japanese single album, ‘YURA YURA.’ The album contains three songs: an original Japanese track, YURA YURA, and Japanese versions of Korean title tracks, In Bloom and CRUSH. Just in time for spring, “YURA YURA” contains the excitement of a love that blooms like cherry blossoms.
YURA YURA follows the members of ZEROBASEONE as they express their joy at the feelings of heart-fluttering love. With lyrics like “Waited for this very moment/ Between you and me blossomed/ The flower of fate,” the track conveys a love so passionate and inevitable that it must have been destined to occur. The music video follows members Zhang Hao, Jiwoong, Hanbin, Taerae, Matthew, Ricky, Gyuvin, Gunwook, and Yujin, as classmates. Flower petals representing their feelings shower down on them at school and follow them everywhere they go, representing an ever-present love. The music video ends with the members waving at the camera as a butterfly flaps its wings above them, glitching for a split second before the video ends. This suggests a mysterious and exciting connection to the group’s previous music videos for fans to theorize on.
‘YURA YURA’ is charged by the influential energy of the members’ bright and powerful performance. Ushering in the warmth of spring, ZEROBASEONE proves that they can light up every season.
