Soloist B.I slowly unpeel the layers of emotions over a past love in the pre-released title track “Loved”, the other half of his global project album ‘Love or Loved’. With “Loved” and the previous pre-released “4 Letters”, B. I slowly bare himself on the vulnerable side of love as we near the album’s full release.
“4 Letters”, the first pre-release of the album featuring Philippines’ R&B star and actor James Reid, tells the story of the 4-letter word love and its undeniable ending. With the lyrics “Darling, Don’t cry, It’s only goodbye, It happens sometimes”, “4 Letters” offers a warm goodbye to a closing chapter of being in love.
The title track “Loved” then trails on the lost love, now full of angst, self-reflection, and regrets, though it still carries on with the lively percussions masking all its underlying emotions. The Music Video for the track is also artistic in itself, its cinematic film cuts successfully convey the moments of past love and current regrets.
Following the success of “BTBT”, B.I is now all ready to close the first chapter of his global domination journey with ‘Love or Loved Part.2’, set to release this November 10. After showing us the meaning of burning love in the Global EPs Part.1 led by “BTBT” and “Keep me up”, we are now at the part where we have to see the sparks slowly die, giving us fresh perspectives of what it means to be loved.
Get ready for more of ‘Love or Loved Pt. 2’. B.I is also teasing additional global collaborations, building anticipation for the album. Tell us what keeps you up for B.I on Twitter and Instagram!
