Following the sold-out U.S. leg of her world tour, alternative icon Beabadoobee will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! This Thursday, October 3, is at 11:35 pm ET/PT and 10:35 pm CT on ABC. She will perform her breakout single “Beaches” from her recently released, critically-acclaimed third studio album ‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves.’ It was also announced today that Bea has been named to this year’s TIME100 Next List. An expansion of the TIME100 list of the most influential people in the world, TIME100 Next highlights 100 emerging leaders who are shaping the future of business, entertainment, sports, politics, health, science, activism, and more. American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams wrote a tribute to beabadoobee for TIME100 Next.
“To hear a person sing who knows themself as well as Bea does is a gift. At the core of everything she makes is a sincerity that is really f-cking cool. ‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves’ is gritty and tough, but it also reveals a sensitivity that is refreshing in a time where so much is overstimulating or plastic or derivative. I’m grateful I get to go through my 20s with her music as the soundtrack.”
‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves’ was recorded at the legendary Shangri-La in Malibu with renowned producer Rick Rubin, and the collection encapsulates Bea’s journey through confidence and introspection, with themes of self-acceptance and personal growth woven throughout – standing as a testament to her artistic evolution, resilience as a performer and growth as a songwriter. The album received global praise, hit 1 on the UK Official Album Chart, and features lauded tracks “Take A Bite,” “Ever Seen” and “Coming Home.”
Born in the Philippines and raised in London, Beatrice Laus has emerged as a British alt icon, and with over 6 billion global streams at 24, she’s built a massive Gen-Z fan base with her prodigious output, including three acclaimed albums and five diverse EPs.
