In the heart of Buena Park’s Koreatown, The Source; a shopping center often frequented by KPOP lovers opened a new exhibit full of your favorite KPOP groups. We here at POP TOKKI got invited for an exclusive sneak peek of D’FESTA before it opened to the public, it did not disappoint. The exhibit features artwork and photographs from 9 K-pop groups: Enhypen, TXT, Stray Kids, NCT Dream, Twice, NCT 127, Seventeen, BTS, and Nu’est. This exhibit is set to open in late summer and features photographs, photo ops, interactive spaces, and a movie to end the whole experience.
THE EXHIBITION
Set to open in late summer this exhibition features photographs, photo ops, interactive spaces, and a movie to end the whole experience. As you enter you are greeted with a long hallway full of black and white portraits on each side. Followed by the mirror room lit up with images of all groups featured in the exhibit. As you continue through the exhibit displays video footage of these artists at work decorating one-of-a-kind artwork for D’FESTA.
The visitors then find themselves in an immersive VR stage full of beautiful visuals. Also, don’t forget to leave a heartfelt message to your favorite groups on the message board while taking a pic with them in the photo booth. That’s not all, before you exit the exhibit don’t forget to pick up some goodies at the end of the exhibit full of exclusive artist merchandise such as photo cards, reusable eco-friendly bags, T-shirts, stickers, posters, and more!
The D’FESTA team states, “We hope that D’FESTA will become more than just an exhibition, but a gathering place for the American K-pop fan community. With limited opportunities for offline K-pop content experiences in the U.S., we aim for D’FESTA to be an immersive experience that fans have been missing.” POP TOKKI’s experience at Media Day for D’FESTA was exceptional as the team, overall experience, and treats available at The Café in the CGV cinema for the movie portion was beyond memorable.
If you are in Los Angeles don’t pass up this opportunity to experience this unforgettable immersive exhibition. Also, don’t forget to bring your light stick for the movie portion!
