During his first U.S. stop on the Hope on The Stage tour, j-hope revealed this new single “MONA LISA” with a bouncy, sensual performance to the surprise of ARMYs both in the crowd and online. After days of teasers and song snippets, on Mar. 21, j-hope released “MONA LISA”—an ode to beautiful women, likening them to one of the most notable works of art in the world.
“MONA LISA” is a vibrant Hip-Hop and R&B track, employing an addicting melody through the usage of trap percussions. Sensually, j-hope expresses his adoration for stunning women, declaring them as a piece of artwork. Alongside the release of the single, the corresponding music video features j-hope and his lively group of backup dancers who produce a visually pleasing performance with their flawless and alluring choreography in an art gallery. With both “MONA LISA” and “Sweet Dreams” under j-hope’s belt, he proves that his time in the military did not stunt his ability to create quality music.
