Background
After being announced in February 2023, this six-member boy group under KOZ Entertainment (a subsidiary of HYBE Labels) has grown in popularity since their May 2023 debut. With the hit singles “SERENADE” and “ONE AND ONLY,” the sextet captured audiences’ attention before and after their debut. BOYNEXTDOOR’s concept is simple—they’re charismatic and friendly, just like the typical boy next door. Their music illustrates everyday stories and emotions that resonate with our daily lives, making their songs relatable to the audience.

He has written and composed almost half of BOYNEXTDOOR’s songs.
He is currently an MC on M Countdown with Sung Hanbin (ZEROBASEONE) and Sohee (RIIZE).
In 2024, he was considered the busiest idol of the year, with almost 700 schedules.
Sungho
Birth Name: Park Sungho
Birthday: September 4, 2003
Position: Lead Vocalist, Dancer
Nationality: Korean
Fun Facts:
He was the first member to join KOZ Entertainment training for 3 yrs and 9 months, with Riwoo joining him shortly after.
He is very exroverted despite his calm demeanor, however he is the most composed especially during hard times.
His older brother is one of his influences, which is why he has a sophistocated aura and is into art.
Riwoo
Birth Name: Lee Sang-hyeok
Birthday: October 22, 2003
Position: Main Dancer, Vocalist, Choreographer

He joined KOZ Entertainment to be a part of their first group and grow with the company.
He’s been a dancer since his mother enrolled him in dance lessons in fifth grade, before that he wanted to be a professional athlete.
He is extremely introverted but is also very quick witted, especially when it comes to his ‘dad’ jokes. Oh, he also LOVES sweets.
Taesan
Birth Name: Han Dong-min
Birthday: August 10, 2004
Position: Vocalist, Rapper, Dancer, Producer, Lyricist
Nationality: Korean

He trained for 5-6 years, training under Source Music before joining KOZ Entertainment.
He considers himself a dreamer and can even dream lucidly on command, especially when listening to music.
He takes part in writing and composing BOYNEXTDOOR’s music, and is all around very creative.
Leehan
Birth Name: Kim Dong-hyun
Birthday: October 20, 2004
Position: Vocalist, Dancer, Visual
Nationality: Korean
Fun Facts:
He started practicing taekwondo at age five and won various medals throughout elementary school.
He loves fish…like a lot, his favorite way to unwind is by watching his fish. He even creates themes for his fish tanks!
He acts as a therapist to the group members.
Woonhak
Birth Name: Kim Woonhak
Birthday: November 29, 2006

He chooses One Piece‘s Luffy as the cartoon character that represents him due to his outgoing nature.
He has writing and composing credits for the majority of BOYNEXTDOOR’s discography.

“BUT I LIKE YOU” provided fans with a charming glimpse into a storyline that would continue over the next few comebacks until the release of their first album. This song captures the feelings that come with having a crush, including the racing heart that occurs every time you see that special person and the tendency to overthink every possible scenario involving them. Filmed in Los Angeles, the music video gave fans and new viewers a glimpse of what the popular global group BOYNEXTDOOR is all about.
“BUT SOMETIMES”
The band released “BUT SOMETIMES” on their second EP, ‘WHY..’. At the end of this music video, scenes from their “BUT I LIKE YOU” video are shown burning, including the house where their crush lives and the burger joint where they often see her hanging out with friends. This imagery symbolizes the emotions of heartbreak and anger.
“EARTH, WIND & FIRE”
“EARTH, WIND & FIRE” was released as part of their first full album, ‘HOW?’. Already popular with a group of dedicated fans, this single pushed them even further, gaining viral success with its fast-track rapping, otherworldly music video visuals, and Taesan’s opening scene singing, “You’re my darling, right?”. Marking the last installment of their ‘WHO!’, ‘WHY..’ and ‘HOW?’ album series had a sweeter, more youthful vibe than their next release.
“DANGEROUS”
Off their ‘19.99’ album, “DANGEROUS” is a rebellious hip-hop track featuring members sneaking out to hang with friends and stealing the car keys to drive off in the night. The album’s name, ‘19.99,’ marks the beginning of young adulthood and the end of adolescence for the youngest member, Woonhak. The young, wild, and free concept flows throughout this song, adding to their laid back and carefree nature as a group.
