Who is Cravity?
CRAVITY is a 9-member boy group under Starship Entertainment. They debuted on April 14th, 2020, with the mini album ‘HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE – SEASON 1’ and the title track “Break All The Rules.” The group name encompasses two meanings. First, the combination of “Creativity” and “Gravity” shows the group’s ambition to attract listeners to its creative world of music and is a combination of those words together. CRAVITY is also the acronym for “Center of Gravity,” meaning that all the members form a perfect balance and create the best performances whenever they are together.
In addition to CRAVITY’s intentional name, there is also a purpose behind the group’s discography. CRAVITY’s discography mainly revolves around the theme of “youth,” exploring youngsters’ various experiences and emotions by using a wide range of music genres such as pop, R&B, hip-hop, and EDM. CRAVITY also shows its versatility by constantly experimenting with concepts ranging from powerful racers (“My Turn“, “Gas Pedal“) and classy urban youth (“Ohh-Ahh“) to cheerful high school students (“Adrenaline“).
Just as their name suggests, CRAVITY also incorporates creative elements into their music videos. Examples include anime and comic book strips. Combined with the group’s visually striking choreography, CRAVITY creates intriguing storylines through its music. The group’s live stages are also always captivating to watch, as the members have charismatic stage presences and top-notch singing and dancing skills, ultimately, these qualities combine to make CRAVITY one of the most prominent up-and-coming 4th-generation K-Pop boy groups.

Song recommendations
C’est La Vie
“C’est La Vie” is a b-side track from CRAVITY’s 7th mini album ‘EVERSHINE.’ CRAVITY promoted this song following the title track “Love or Die” after premiering the live stage of the song in their “Luvity Games” fan concert. The track is a groovy dance track that demonstrates the classy yet youthful image unique to CRAVITY. Furthermore, “C’est La Vie” means “that’s life” in French, and the song conveys the message of enjoying life to its fullest no matter what. The music video takes inspiration from Peter Pan and Howl’s Moving Castle and, consistent with the group’s commitment to interesting storylines, it features a plot where the members are divided into two tribes and fight against each other but ultimately reconcile. Overall, this track is ideal for listeners seeking an upbeat and inspiring new song for their playlist.
Cheese
“Cheese” is one of the title tracks in CRAVITY’s 6th mini album ‘SUN SEEKER.’ This song is a light-hearted dance pop in which the group invites listeners on a relaxing trip and has fun all day long The choreography for this song is also especially cute: at one point, for example, the members form a train line while singing “left right, left and right.” In fact, CRAVITY even created a dance challenge based on this dance move The cheerful music, combined with the interactive dance, brings out the boy-next-door charm of CRAVITY. Additionally, CRAVITY shot the music video for this song in Los Angeles, which is where member Allen grew up. This intentional setting helps to accentuate the song’s American vibe. This track is perfect for a summer road trip or backyard BBQ party!
Veni Vidi Vici
‘Veni Vidi Vici’ is a track featured in ‘CRAVITY 1ST ALBUM PART 1 [The Awakening: Written In The Stars].’ ‘Veni Vidi Vici’ is a Latin phrase that means “I came, I saw, I conquered,” and it was first said by Julius Caesar after he achieved a quick victory in the Battle of Zela. In keeping up with this confidence, this song delivers an empowering message to listeners: persevere to achieve your dreams despite hardships, and do not become swayed by others’ judgements. Throughout this song, CRAVITY reminds listeners that everyone should have full control over their own lives and pursue whatever their passions are. Apart from the meaningful lyrics, the duo dances of Taeyoung/Minhee and Hyeongjun/Wonjin during the dance break are done very elegantly. Overall, this song is ideal for listeners looking for inspiration or a self-confidence boost.
Jumper
“Jumper” is a powerful EDM track from CRAVITY’s debut album ‘HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE.’ This song’s punchy hip-hop beat may sound familiar to members of MONBEBE (the MONSTA X fandom), as it is composed by Joohoney as a gift for his label’s juniors–he even recorded the guide version of the song! Digging deeper into the track’s meaning, this song declares CRAVITY’s determination to overthrow old ideas and stereotypes in favor of beginning a new era and achieving together. This message aligns directly with the message of the title track “Break All The Rules,” emphasizing the group’s consistent commitment to becoming an impactful generational group. Furthermore, this song’s upbeat music and powerful rap showcase the masculine side of CRAVITY. Ultimately, this song clearly showcases CRAVITY’s ambition to make waves in the K-pop world as a rookie group.
