After a much-anticipated wait, THE NEW SIX has returned with their 1st Digital Single “FUEGO”!
In their most recent auditory offering, THE NEW SIX decisively pivots from the quintessential 90’s sonority and Y2K ambiance epitomized by “Kick It 4 Now“, embracing instead a compelling fusion of bass house pop, further accentuated by a visually dystopian-inspired aesthetic. This latest digital single, strategically evoking parallels to their inaugural track “MOVE“, offers their devoted fanbase, affectionately termed THX, an essence of nostalgia intertwined with the song’s contemporary vibe, enhancing fan engagement through a skillful blend of novelty and familiarity.
The music video for “FUEGO” has viewers on a journey where choreography takes center stage. With energetic and exciting dance sequences, this music video offers an engaging experience that matches the tempo of the song. Also, according to a recent interview with Fox 13 Seattle, member Hyun Soo described the underlying meaning behind the lyrics of “FUEGO,” as “…burning down all negative emotions and moving forward.” So, while listening to this song, let go of your inhibitions and get rid of your unwanted feelings!
To add more excitement to the group’s comeback, the boys have teased a mini album to come out in May. Also, the fans are happily welcoming back member Jun Hyeok from his long hiatus that started in January 2023 due to his mental health. He re-joined activities last month for their YouTube variety content “THE NEW Things” on THE NEW SIX’s YouTube channel. With the group whole again, we hope everyone can be healthy during this promotional period.
