NCT Dream’s 2022 “Candy” comeback stirred a sugary-sweet buzz in the K-pop community for more reasons than one. Complete with a bubbly and bright music video, this pop-forward song gained a large portion of its attention solely from its surprising lyrical contrasts. The group was also praised for their stylistic choices that had fans all around the globe anticipating what looks would come next. Here’s our collection of the sweetest stage outfits from NCT Dream’s “Candy” Era!
Renjun
It’s hard to deem one “Candy” look as the most stylish for Renjun, but the group’s 2022 MBC performance is definitely towards the top of the list. Throughout this era, Renjun is seen sporting the iconic hats, and his bunny ear beanie from this performance was no exception. Renjun’s outfit is the perfect combination of the group’s black and white style motif, without utilizing crazy patterns like the checker prints and stripes worn by other members. His look perfectly complied together with a customized “R” varsity jacket, white undershirt, black tie, and cream-colored sneakers.
Jaemin
Kicking off the choreography front and center, it’s hard not to notice how well Jaemin’s outfit suited him during the group’s performance on The Show. Adorned in a sleeveless leather black, red, and white jacket, Jaemin is clearly no stranger to rocking a sleek biker look. Elements of this motorcyclist motif are reflected through his thick boots and plain black pants, but more so in the details of his outfit, through fingerless biker gloves and messy arrays of jacket patches.
Haechan
While the other members are bundled up in winter gear for this 2022 KBS Song Festival performance, Haechan stands out among the rest due to his laid-back, yet carefully collected look. His outfit consisted of a pearly, light pink varsity jacket with various colorful pins, as well as baggy white pants. A constant stylistic choice that is seen throughout this era includes members wearing only one mitten. In this performance, a white glove sits on top of his left hand which is an intentional pairing with the white detailing on his jacket.
Jeno
All eyes were on Jeno at the “Candy” Mnet Comeback stage. Styled simply in a Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt and unhooked denim overalls, Jeno truly stole the show with small yet stylish details. His hands are covered by fuzzy teal mittens; adding a fun textured pop of color to his look. One of the focal points of his outfit is a white knitted ear warmer wrapped around his forehead, styled to perfection underneath a few loose strands of his straight black hair.
Jisung
Jisung was undoubtedly turning heads during the group’s Show! MusicCore performance. Jisung donned a white and lime green jersey displaying his name and the letter 14 across the front. His top, paired with a lilac undershirt and baggy cargo pants, was styled up with a chunky pearl necklace clasped tightly around his neck. Different pops of color were added to his look from his single orange mitten to a more personal touch: the bright red “J” peeking out from his undershirt.
Mark
Mark’s most iconic “Candy” era outfit was worn at the 2022 Gayo Daejon Festival. Upon first glance, his blue hair is a gorgeous contrast to the black and white stylistic theme worn among the members. Mark is wearing an oversized black shirt that paired well with his long undershirt; showcasing the abstract mix of letters and brushstrokes scattered along both sleeves. In comparison to the other members, Mark’s outfit is rather simple, but it is definitely chic, letting NCTzens know that for him, simplicity is sometimes best!
Chenle
Sharing a “sweetest look” performance with Jaemin, Chenle also rocked a clean biker style during the group’s “Candy” Performance on The Show. Opting for a full-sleeve jacket, Chenle’s style was less restricted in terms of color. His jacket, covered in lettering and various patches, was made up of a mix of orange, white, red, black, and blue stitching. For this performance, he wore blue denim jeans striped with light-washed lines. As for accessories, he flaunted a single silver statement chain.
