On August 2nd, Xikers (stylized as xikers) released their second mini album, ‘House of Tricky : How To Play’. Alongside their album, they also released the music video for the title track “DO or DIE” on the same day.
The 10-member boy group debuted this March with their first mini album, ‘House of Tricky : Doorbell Ringing’. In their accompanying music video, xikers introduced their goblin (dokkaebi) concept, which carries over into this album. However, in the music video for “DO or DIE”, the concept is executed in a different way, portraying the members as players in a zombie-themed video game. The pop-punk track is fun and energetic, perfect for a summer road trip or a trip to the skate park.
Aside from the main title track, xikers also released a performance video for their second title track “Koong”. This hip-hop track features a percussion-based hook that will get stuck in your head and a choreography utilizing an umbrella as a prop.
Like their debut album, this album was co-produced by ATEEZ member Hongjoong, alongside KQ Entertainment’s in-house team Eden-ary. This album also expands on the group’s range of genres by including pop-punk, old-school, and synthpop elements.
