The group’s spoiler film for the comeback aired at KCON LA on the final day of the event moments before the group’s performance. Fans worldwide reacted explosively when the news was shared minutes later through ZEROBASEONE’s social media platforms.
The spoiler film begins with all nine group members seated in a movie theater row, attentively watching the screen. Each member’s intense gaze is zoomed in on while they focus on the contents the movie theater screen is playing. The screen displays a black-and-white movie trailer featuring a member walking, only his legs showing with the sound of footsteps and suspenseful music in the background. Text appears below reading “starring ZEROBASEONE,” and, “with Special Appearance,” before the screen fades to black with “CINEMA PARADISE” and “August 2024.”
Compared to their last comeback title track, “Feel the Pop,” and mini album ‘YOU HAD ME AT HELLO,’ which was a crucial album for the group’s growth and development as artists, this teaser gives off a more sophisticated vibe, visually capturing the viewers through a mature and darker appearance instead of a stimulating and energetic one. ZEROBASEONE may have created a youthful and fresh image for themselves, but ‘CINEMA PARADISE’ is already presenting itself as an introduction to a more experimental direction for the group’s discography.
